Description

A very scenic trail with beautiful views of the upper and lower part of the lake. The path joins the route of the rock carvings (graffiti). Here you can see rock carvings dating from different periods (from the Iron Age to the present day), which are scored sedimentary and calcareous rocks called “liscioni”.
The route begins in front of the Gardens San Carlo opposite the Villa Albertini and continues on the walk along the lake shore. After the paved portion follow the walking along the beach where you will reach also some wetlands with reeds.
Exceeded Villa Canossa, turn right on the small dirt road that runs along the park until you reach the paved road. Continuing to the left, after a short stretch on the main road, turn right onto Via Castei.
Reached a lookout point with panoramic views of S. Vigilio and the Bay of Sirens proceed along the old road connection to Torri del Benaco, between rocky cliffs and dense vegetation.
An alternative access route is starting from Loc. Castei, on the right side of regional road towards Torri del Benaco.
